Would love to see a better process/layout for the printing process. Sometimes people forget to print because they put their phone number first… and instantly submit. Possibly maybe add an option “Send and Print” or an option to automatically print. Thank you!

Don’t get. Waste of money. $80 and I can’t open app anymore.

The app keeps crashing. Sadly feels like this app takes a back seat compared to the subscription version.

The last update has made the app run even worse. All kinds of printer problems. No more “actual” auto print. After clients hit print it goes to a full screen camera mode and gets stuck. No amount of touching the screen does anything. The app has to be force quit to get it working again. Clients photos are also not being saved to the camera roll even though that setting is turned on. App needs major update. It’s very sluggish. Almost unusable. FIX THIS ASAP! Very disappointed in how this app keeps having problems. I hope they fix it because I want to like it and I would like to keep using it since we payed $80 for this app.

I just purchased this and went to the Simple Booth website to access tutorials or support for the app but the only thing they advertise is Halo, both for apps, bundles, hardware, and support. I see this was updated recently, but all of the training materials I’m seeing only reference HALO. I would highly advise anyone looking to purchase this to look into this so you do not waste $100.

Paid a hundred bucks for this app a year ago. Have hardly been able to use it due to bugs and crashes that never do seem to be fixed by the updates, that say they do.

My app won’t open I have a event and I can’t get no help. I use this and paid for it I couldn’t use it for my last event and it still won’t work. I need a number where I can call and get help! Please help

Hello I love using this app for my small events I have one coming up but I am currently not able to open the app I click on the app and it closes right back up. What do I need to do to get this up and going?

Good app for DIY PhotoBooth but wish they would fix the issue with the props. App closes every time you try to add them.

App does not open after the update....

When I updated the app it made so I couldn’t use the app anymore, but before I updated the app I was able to use the app just fine.

I use aircast pro to turn my subdye printer to an air printer. I can print with it via AirPrint on my iPad without issue. However, when you choose the printer from the list in the SB Setup it does not stick. If I run a session at the end when you hit print it lists the printer and it prints without issue. However, I do not want my users having to choose a printer every time after each session. The printer should stick via setup. I have no issues with LumaBooth but I don’t want to pay monthly when I already own SB.

So far so good. It has never crashed on me during many hours of continuous use. And I use this almost every week.

My app now has about 4 prompts before you can print photos with no way to disable that. It’s great that you give me the option to add it to the gallery or delete it but they should just be an option to send to the printer and then you’re done. Takes way too long and the app tends to hang and ultimately crash

App is crushing!!

I had the Event Edition and still like it the best. I got a new IPad Pro 12.5 and I put Simple Both Classic on it. I just did an even that we do each year for school and my new IPad Pro kept disconnecting from the printer (Canon Selphy) and not staying on the network. I was so frustrated almost packed up and went home. Switched over to my old IPad 9.5 with Even Edition and it worked like a charm. No disconnect and printed all the time. The Event Edition worked better than the new edition. Wish they had just added some features to the Even Edition and left it alone as it was.

This app used to be the best. The last time I used it was about a year ago for a Mother’s Day luncheon at our church. Everyone loved it. This year, I noticed it was renamed to SB classic and the company switched to a subscription model for a newer version. When I set it up to use it this year, it was constantly freezing. Almost every other time it was used. I have this running on an iPad mini 4 which never had issues in the past. Maybe the devs are just neglecting it and now it’s riddled with bugs or they’re trying to push people to the newer version so they make more money. I’m not going to spend more for something we setup only once in awhile as a free to use thing. I’ll probably switch to a similar app on Android that’s a 10th of the original cost and seems to be a good alternative.

All this app dose now is stay stuck in the pre launch screen “downloading required assets” why does it no longer work? What do i have to do to get past this to a working program?

Can’t get past downloading guided assets while connected to wifi. And def cannot run by itself. Needs attendant. Just no good.

The last time I used this app I remember when you selected the printer once it would always default to it. It seems it no longer does that. On the bright side I can now print multiple copies at once but miss that the printer doesn’t default.

TOTAL GARBAGE !!! This app is not reliable after the current update. It used to work perfect, not it is absolute garbage. Run away from this app. It ruined a couple events for me, so I tossed it in the trash.

What has happened to the app? I’ve owned this for 4 years. Now it crashes every time I launch it!

We used to use this app frequently as an event host. This new update prevents the app from even opening! Guess we get to find an alternative now. It was good while it lasted!

Use it for my underage alcohol use prevention with teens. They love it!

What a total waste of investment. I bought this app for $60 3 years ago before they came up with halo and their different personal and business plans. I used to love simple booth for ease of use, variety of features and especially being able to automatically save your photos. We’ve had printer issues in the past but did not have to worry because we know everything would automatically save in your camera roll and you can just print the photos whenever or send to your guests. Now you’d have to manually click save to gallery for your photos to actually save or backed up in your iPad.

I’m not sure why I continue to come back to this app... this thing crashes more than any app I have owned, ever. I use to love how simple and easy this software was to use, but now I literally can’t change anything in settings within 10 minutes because it takes that long to load, once I do make changes it freezes and crashes. So frustrating.

I bought this app in 2016 and I use it at least 1-2 times per year for personal events and work events. It is always a hit. Easy to use and manage. Worth the $$.

The app was paid for and goes to the updating themes and props page and will not open. It sits there for hours. Is there anyway to fix this?

Newest update lags more than a two legged turtle! Please fix or revert to previous version. Terrible at an event. PLEASE FIX!

Does most of the important Photobooth features.

The only way to post pics/gifs is for the person receiving the text to log into their Facebook or Twitter account. You can only post still shots to your phone for instagram. Is this a instagram issue or the app not working?

This new version keeps crashing!

We got this app for our wedding after using our friend’s. It was highly recommended, but much more expensive than what she paid. The price had gone up from $60 to $99, but we felt it would be worth it. WRONG!!! DO NOT GET THIS! First, the app never opened. It continuously crashed and would shut down. Our iPad is updated and supposedly compatible. We were never able to use the app. We also tried the regular edition, but it does not have the features as described in the preview and description. To get those, you have to purchase another app (Halo) AND pay a subscription. We paid $99 for this app and have not been able to use it. We have tried to get a refund since it has never worked, but have been denied. Don’t waste your money on this.

I have a DNP rx1-hs, bought this specifically for its ease of use with dnp and iPad. Nope! Wasted money!

I paid $99 for this app. When you read about it things sound so exciting. Then when you try to get a refund because you don’t want it or haven’t used it you can’t. REALLY? What a ripoff. Then there is not a phone number to contact anyone. Apple won’t let you cancel it. I got this app downloaded look at it. Got an email. Went to set it up and was told subscription fee $29. Now I paid $99. This is highway robbery. Came back 2 days later to delete and get a refund. I was told no from the App Store because it was a subscription. I don’t want a subscription, I don’t want the app. I want my $99 back. I want my money credited back. Plus I did not sign up for a subscription. This just terrible. Don’t buy this app unless you intend on paying something every month. It’s horrible to because there are not phone numbers to contact a person.

I purchased this app about a year ago to use for my grandson’s first birthday party. It was so simple to use and it was a big hit. I’ve used it at several family events and it always gets rave reviews.

Okay, so this app is worth the money. It is a lot but it does pay off over enough time. There are so many things within that would warrant 5 stars. However, the app crashes all the time and I loose so many images because of it. It would be nice if simple booth is never mentioned and could be replaced with my own logo on any and all screens a customer may see. I paid a lot and the ads should be dropped. Not ads with a commercial but simple booth advertising over my own business. It makes me look lame for my clients. More design options would be nice. Text delivery option would be nice. An android and windows app would be awesome so I could have a backup or other booths possible. The crashing is the worst part and I haven’t had a time when the app worked without a crash. The fact that the app was $80 I expected it to blow my mind. It is good but way over priced for its performance. You need a lot of light to make this look decent. I would love to see an option for camera settings. The auto misreads constantly and often the images are too dark or blown out. Even something simple to make an overall adjustment with the option to lock in that exposure so the images are consistent from shot to shot. 1 star because it does work. 2 stars because it gets the job done. Lacking 3 more stars because of crashes, price, and limited options. Beef it up and make it stable with an update then 5 stars are in order.

I’ve had this program for awhile and never really used it too much. I use my green screen a lot more than this. I was asked if I did this kind of booth. I went and bought a light and stand for the iPad and it has been our of control fun! Kids, adults, anybody can use this simple program! You can either have your guests email, text or print the photos on a number of different sizes. I love this program and the cost is much lower than my green screen so it’s been very busy with gigs. It’s worth the purchase! The best part is you don’t need anybody to man the booth, it’s all self explainitory!

Had this app for years now and still get compliments every time I use it in an event. Tried another app but simple booth doesn’t not compare.

This app is almost perfect. In previous versions, we were able to disable the “next” button. I sometimes do events where some guests are not too tech savvy. I was able to have the auto print feature on and after guests would take the picture, the app would move on to the next session WITHOUT having to press the “next” button. That eliminated having an attendant. So I still have overhead because I have to pay an attendant for those not too tech savvy guests. ALSO: in previous versions, when guests would email the picture, they would actually receive the jpg image in their email. Now, they get a link to simple booth galleries and a promo for DUI simple booth photo booth exposing where/how my setup is allowing them to build what I have for their next event which eliminates me for their next event. That’s ridiculous.

I purchased the app to take pictures for my best friends wedding but it doesn’t have the capabilities of uploading an overlay. My brother has the same app and he’s able to create overlays, so I purchased this app of word of mouth from him and I don’t have the same capabilities. Very upset after spending $80 plus dollars.

As a DJ, I was able to set this up on my iPad with an LED light and they both ran for 4 hours with no issues. Over all, the app works. It’s simple for my clients to use and my first event, we took over 700 pics. With that said, I was under the impression or maybe assumed.... I would be able to access my clients email or text number after the event. I paid $80 for this app, and I’m not able to get “my clients” info. Simple Booth sends “their” information to “my clients” with the photo. So, now everyone knows where to get the software, so why use my service???? Also, when I asked how to get my clients info... customer service said I would have to pay $199 a month. Wait.. what... are you serious. How about you put that in the first line of the description. I would have kept my money. I only have one photobooth setup. Second, You will have to create your own background using your own software. Not much room to advertise my company. Also, you only get white or black background... so you can’t match your client colors. This $80 app is perfect if you want to give every picture for free or advertise your business... but don’t expect much. Also, after trying the few other apps in the App Store. This is by far the best.... it’s the best of the worst. But,not the best of the best. I will be getting Darkroom and a Windows tablet to fit my needs! PLEASE LET GO OVER YOUR GRIP
